Sheetfed Inks

Sheetfed Inks

Sheetfed (also referred to as sheet offset printing) is an offset printing method in which the material being printed is fed sheetwise into the printing machine. Offset printing is an indirect printing method in which paste-like printing inks is transferred to the lipophilic printing area of the printing plate via an additional roller – and not to the parts that have been moistened with water.

Drying takes place through a combination of the physical drying through penetration, the diffusion of the liquid components from the paper surface into the paper, and the chemical drying through oxidation. In contrast to web offset printing, sheet offset printing is suitable for small to medium print runs of valuable art prints but also for advertising material, books, packing material and labels as well.

PERFORMANCE - Conventional sheetfed inks suited for paper & board

The Performance series is a modern all-round series designed for the widest possible field of applications. and is suited for almost any type of printing  machines (perfecting machines as well as straight printing presses) and can be used for a large scale of absorbing printing substrates. This series is mineral-oil free and formulated on basis of renewable raw materials.

Due to its universality the Performance series is especially suited for large corporate groups with different manufacturing bases and various printing machines and offers by using only one type of ink best preconditions from ink side to achieve identical print results.

Characteristics

  • Excellent printability
  • Good rolling
  • Excellent ink/water balance

The medium speed of setting of the Performance series enables printing on almost all kinds of absorbing papers.

The Performance series fulfils as a modern ink series all requirements of ISO-Norm 2846-1. Its intensity and dot sharpness allows the printer to meet all requirements if ISO-Norm 12647-2 regarding the ink properties, as well as achieving a very neutral grey-balance.
